Road Trip?

Saturday after breakfast James and I were sitting around with the girls and he said do you want to go somewhere? um yes please!! We haven't traveled out of town in a good while and we were ready to go do something. We both like being spontaneous, granted with kidos we have to do a little bit more preparation(we had the idea at 9:30 and left at 11:30). So he said do you want to go north south east or west? We ended up going to downtown Ft. Worth which is such a neat area and stayed at the Embassy Suites. We were blessed to get together with good friends (who canceled a date night and drove to meet us, we love you guys Jody and Rach!)
We woke up Sunday AM and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the hotel and then took the girls swimming. We checked out and spent the rest of the day at the Ft. Worth Zoo, which is a great Zoo! Shelby's highlights were feeding the fish and holding a shell (exotic I know!) She loved seeing the animals but kept asking where the kitty cat's are, apparently the jaguar and mountain lion were not impressive to her. Zoe was a sweet little trooper and just enjoyed the ride.
Tonight after we ate and unpacked and got the girls bathed and in bed we both shared the sentiment that there is something to be said for hitting to road for a fun trip and something to be said about coming back home with both girls sleeping peacefully in their own little beds!
