Lesson's learned

So as a Mom you quickly learn lessons the hard way. Case in point: Shelby Kate has been asking for a dog/cat/pet. To which I always reply, Maybe when you turn 12. Well our neighbors have a cat that comes and visits at our home. Shelby dubbed him "Alice" even though James thinks it could be a boy. Anyway our neighbors both work during the day, have a brand new little doggie, and are very busy. So Alice started hanging out on our back porch. She/he is very gentle with the girls and lets them do anything to him/her. I think she likes to come over because the girls give it attention. We haven't started feeding her (or I haven't) not sure about the girls and she is not allowed in my home ever. However the girls will play outside for LONG periods of time happily if "Alice is on the scene. So she kind of has a pet at the age of 4...

Next lesson: If Zoe is quiet she is getting into trouble!!! You will notice that she even applied the mascara in the proper area, and she is wearing her monkey pajamas. (she is absolutely monkey see monkey do)

Third lesson: Do not give Zoe your ipod when you are trying to clean the kitchen and get ready.... You may never see it again! I often do things like that, if they are content and playing maybe letting them play with things that are best not played with... LESSON LEARNED. After searching and searching it is still MIA... It has to be either in our small backyard or house. It was literally a few minutes that she had it before it went missing!

Oh, sorry...I thought that ipod was my Christmas present when Zoe gave it to me at church. Just kidding. Hope it turns up soon!

The makeup pictures cracked me up!

don't you love it? oliver was going through my purse several months ago and got into my wallet. i saw him pulling the cards out and putting them back in the slot. i figured it would entertain him for a few minutes so ignored it. i was gone less than 10 minutes and i haven't seen my debit or credit card since. we had to cancel them and get new ones. i know it's in the apartment...but i've turned it upside down and still haven't found either one. it's amazing!

Katy, I am so sorry that you still haven't found your ipod. That totally stinks. If you want us to come 'treasure hunting' again, we would be happy to help you look.
