Tonight I find myself in a bit of a funk... We took Zoe back to the doctor today to check her ears (it has been a week since she finished her last antibiotic) and as I highly suspected they were/are infected yet again.
After another copay, waiting forever at the pharmacy (once to drop off and once to pick up) spending another 90$, James and I both find ourselves sad/frustrated. Frustrated that we will be pouring med's down our 9 month old for another 10 days, frustrated on how our doctor visit went, and sad for Zoe. We are on at least number 8 (I've kind of lost count, and it's hard to tell if it's the same one that just doesn't get better of if they do get better and then get re-infected) with her ears and she has lived with pain more then she has been without it.
I know this is minor in comparison many other's and we really are thankful for our level of health and feel blessed in that aspect, you all can tell I need to spend time in prayer and count our blessings. It is a blessing that there is medicine to help her so she won't still be in pain, a blessing we have insurance, and the list goes on and on....
Then I received another letter from my sweet brother and wanted to share a few excerpts:
"I received a letter from Jenny Livingston and wrote back, your friends are truly awesome!"
(I know many of my dear friends have supported him and prayed for him and wrote him, and I'm truly grateful and thankful)
"Well I am good. Despite this place being one of Texas's worst, I am fine. There have been some bad things happen while I've been here but I am okay. The Lord is watching over me! I don't want to tell all of the details but just always know when I say I'm good, I am."
(he has a sweet heart and is so strong we pray for this protection a lot!)
This was one of those long, busy, days that at the end of it you sit down and go how is it 9:00 already??

i'm sorry sweet zoe is having so much trouble. i'll be praying for her, and you, and james, and the doctors....it feels never ending doesn't it?
Ear infections just stink!! I remember them and it is miserable. I am so sorry poor little zoe is going through that. I hope she feels better soon. :)
So sorry! I remember how frustrating that was with Mae... even though you do feel blessed to have no serious health problems, it's just no fun to have a cranky baby & constant trips to the pedi. Tubes were one day of no fun, but so worth it this winter when she only had one fever/sinus infection compared to last winters constant ones! We'll keep praying Zoe gets better on her own & for your patience & peace. Hang in there!
