Our church just wrapped up VBS. There are so many people who work SO hard to make sure it is super smooth, successful and uplifting. Shelby got home every night so excited and couldn't wait to tell me all that she did. She brought home a perfume bottle one night and told us about the women who poured her expensive perfume on Jesus's feet. Later at bedtime/prayer time I was trying to drive the lesson home a little more for her. This was the conversation that ensued:
Me: Shelby you know how that women gave the best she could give to Jesus because she loved him so much?
S: yes
Me: What would be the best thing that you could give to Jesus and God, What do you love the most?
S: Ellie (this is her baby, her LOVED baby), Mommie I love Jesus but he cannot have Ellie I love her too much.
Hmmm... okay so this lesson may still need some work!
On another not James made a great Tree/narrator for the Zachery Skit!
